Skip custom IR if you need heat this weekend, refuse an electrician, or only want a disposable $2k box.

Cost mistakes that waste the first year

Lowest kit and done. Cheap prefab IR often fails early. Ignoring the circuit. Dedicated run is part of the real price. IR in an uninsulated garage. Fix the shell first. Bottom line

Serious daily infrared is usually mid four figures to low five installed (SaunaCloud band), not the Amazon floor. Outdoor cabins jump to ~$30k+. Add cold with Plunge Chill if contrast matters.
