Ice in a dark cold plunge

Best cold plunges 2026

There is no single best tub. There is a best buy for how often you get in, and whether you will actually haul ice.

Disclosure. We may earn a commission if you buy through a partner link. Prices below were taken from the seller’s site on September 8, 2026, and they move. We have not tested these units in person. Rankings are not sold. Plunge and Ice Barrel are listed with no buy button because we do not earn on them yet.

Quick picks

Buy this if you want machine cold, not a $7,000 tub

Plunge Chill chiller + tub

A chiller and a tub in one order. Sale price on the seller’s page. Not a furniture-grade plunge.

$1,199 $569

Partner link. Plunge Chill also lists a 30-day return on the product page.

Buy this if you already have a tub

Plunge Chill chiller

The standalone unit. Their homepage says the built-in model is marketed to about 42°F on a 600W compressor, with a 1-year warranty. Treat that as their claim, not our test.

$1,099 $499

See the $499 chiller

More cooling, still not a $7,000 tub

Plunge Chill 1HP chiller

The larger compressor. Use this if the room or the climate is warm and the base unit looks undersized. Confirm fit on their page before you buy.

$2,199 $1,099

Side by side

A larger inflatable bundle, the MAX, was $659 on September 8, down from $1,399. See that bundle if you want more room than the $569 set.

Ice Barrel 300 price is from their product listing. Plunge All-In Gen 2 price is from plunge.com. We do not send you to either until a cash rate is on our dashboard. Plunge’s public refer program pays store credit, not cash.

Who should not buy the chiller

Do not buy a chiller to “see if you like cold.” Use a cold shower or a cheap ice setup for a few weeks first. Do not buy Plunge Chill if you want a finished indoor tub that looks like a piece of furniture. That is the Plunge All-In job, and we will not link it until it pays this desk in cash. Do not buy any of this if a doctor has told you to avoid cold immersion.

The heat half

Contrast is a plunge and a sauna. The cold pick above is the accessible buy. The checks that change a month come from the cabin, not the $499 chiller.

Questions people actually ask

What is the best cold plunge in 2026?

There is no single best tub. Daily plungers who will pay for a cabinet look at Plunge All-In. Lower spend is Ice Barrel plus ice. Machine cold we can send you to is Plunge Chill.

Do I need a chiller?

Yes if you want set-and-forget cold. No if you will buy ice and plunge a few times a week. Skip the expensive chiller until the habit is real.

Is Plunge Chill the same as Plunge.com?

No. Plunge Chill is a budget chiller and tub. Plunge.com is the $7,990 All-In cabinet. We do not have a Plunge.com affiliate link.
